Our Beliefs

Theology – We believe the Godhead eternally exists in three persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that all three are the same in essence and attributes and equally worthy of worship and obedience. We believe that God is creator, sustainer and ruler of all things. (Mt. 6:9, Gen 1:1, Acts 5:3-4, John (20:28) Father (Gal. 1:3),Gen 1:26, Deut. 6, Rom 12:1, Mt 4:10, II Sam 22:4)

Christology– We believe Jesus Christ is the eternally existent Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, fully God and fully man without sin. We believe He performed miracles and was crucified and died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins. We believe He was resurrected from the dead in bodily form and ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead. (Jn. 3:16, Mt. 1:18-25,  Jn 1:1-3, Acts 2:22, Jn. 20:30, Heb. 2:9, Jn. 20:27, Acts. 2:24, 1 Cor. 15:3, Rom. 3:25-26, Jn 10:30, Acts 1:9-11, Heb. 1:3-4)

Pneumatology – We believe the Holy Spirit, third person of the Godhead, draws people and brings conviction to the heart of humanity. We believe He regenerates, indwells and seals the believer at salvation and continues to sanctify the believer until death or the return of Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit fills and empowers believers to live out Christ’s mission on the earth and gives them spiritual gifts to build up the body and do the work of ministry. (Jn 16:7-14, Jn 3:5-8, Acts 5:3-8, Tit 3:5, Rom 8:9, Eph 1:13-14, 4:30)

Ecclesiology -The Church is the Body of Christ universal consisting of all regenerate (reborn) believers in Christ across the globe throughout time. Local expressions of the church gather to worship Jesus and fellowship together, and scatter to influence and impact society for the glory of God. (II Cor 6:16, Eph 5:25-27, Col 1:18, Acts 2:42-47, Matt 28:18-20, Rom 8:28, Eph 2:19, John 13:34-35, John 17:21.)

Bibliology – We believe the Bible is the Word of God. That it is authoritative, inerrant in its original intent/text and sufficient for all matters of faith and conduct and the final arbiter. (2 Pt. 1:20-1; Tim. 3:16-17; Ps. 119:89,108,160; Ps. 12:6)

Soteriology – Humankind is born into a condition of sin. No one can enter the kingdom of God unless born again. The shed blood of Jesus and His death, burial and resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation for all who believe. Salvation is only received by placing faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Redemption has been accomplished wholly by the free grace of God, an unmerited gift given in love by God and not the result of any human works, in whole or in part. (Rom 3:23, Jn 3:5-8, Rom 5:8-10, Rom 10:9-10, Eph 2:8-10)

Anthropology – We believe that human beings were made in God’s image with worth and dignity and reflective of His divine nature. Humanity is God’s highest creation, vice-regents in His mission. Inherent in the origin of humanity as God’s creation is the sacred value of each life. (Gen 1:26-27, Gen 5:1-2, Psalms 139:13-17, Acts 17:28.)
